salut!

Yes, I did have the meeting with my advisor, last week.. He’s not the nicest, believes my French is not very good and speaks English to me - he’s English.

I was thinking bout signing up for “Atelier arts plastiques” and doing some drawing and painting, sounds good but I haven’t done it for ages..

Oh, bout these 2nd and 3rd year students, it’s because it’s a lot cheaper to stay in the halls then to rent a proper flat. I’ve asked one of my neighbours and so he explained why they stay here.

This Wednesday, there was a huge concert on the campus, 4 stages with different kinds of music, it was pretty loud he he. Well we had a couple of drinks in one of the rooms in my corridor and then went outside but the weather was awful, so didn’t stay too long.

There are free French courses organised for the Erasmus students but because I’ve missed the level test, I had to go this morning and talk to the woman responsible for these courses. The chat was nice and she, unlike my adisor, said that my French is probably too good for this course but told me to sit the test this Monday and she’ll see how I’ll do in it.

In Brussels

I arrived on 14th September about 17h, took a bus from Charleroi airport to Gare du Midi [Southern Train Station] and then a taxi to Universite Libre de Bruxelles. Well that was it – a place where i’m meant to spend next 3 months.

I live at the ULB campus and my room resmbles a hospital room.. it’s quite big – twice as big as the one I had in Hector Boece, but has tiles on the floor and pure white walls pus a basin and so it all makes it look like a hospital. I’ve managed to put some pictures on walls and it looks a bit better now :)

Well anyway, stangely enough people living in the student halls here are mostly 2nd and 3rd year students and they all know each other. Weird, cause I would never want to stay in the halls again, after my first year.

I know some places in Brussels now, the “Grand Place” is amazing, each of the buildings surrounding it is different, they all look really old.
